Kalasha Dravya powder is kept around the kalasha and is the mixture of auspicious things like sadhikkai, ilavangam (cinnamon), elakkai (ilaichi), kalkandu, jaadhi patri and other herbs. All these things are hand picked and preserved for using in temple consecration (kumba-abhisekha). This 50Gms kalasha dravya powder is used at the time of kumba-abhisheka which is celebrated once in 12 years.
