Sri Mahishasura Mardhini Stotram, is a composition of Sri Adisankara Bhagavad Padhal in praise of Sri Durga parameswari for protection and welfare of the society at large and women at distress in particular. Sri Kanaka dhara stotram the one he composed at his early age in praise of Sri Mahalakshmi to shower wealth to a poor woman who despite her poverty, offered alms to Sri Sankaracharya.
