Kalasadiraviyam is kept around the kalasa and is the mixture of auspicious things like sadhikkai, lavangam (cinnamon), elakkai (ilaichi), kalkandu, jaadhi patri and other herbs. All these things are hand picked and preserved for using in temple consecration (kumba-abhisekha). This kalasadiraviyam is an abhisheka powder that is used at the time of kumba-abhisekha, which is a special festical celebrated by the masses once in 12 years.
