Thirukkural, also known as the "Kural," is a classic Tamil text consisting of 1,330 couplets (two-line verses) authored by the ancient Tamil poet and philosopher Thiruvalluvar. Thirukkural is considered one of the greatest works of Tamil literature and is revered for its profound wisdom, ethical teachings, and universal values.

The text is divided into three sections namely:

"Arathupal" or  Righteousness: This section deals with virtues, ethical conduct, and moral values and covers topics such as righteousness, honesty, integrity, and justice.

"Porutpal" or Wealth: This section focuses on economic and material aspects of life, including wealth management, governance, commerce, and the importance of work ethic.

"Inbathupal" or  Love: This section explores the nature of love, friendship, familial relationships, and the qualities of a good spouse.
